(HT Jaipur Live, !4 June 2002) The Economic Times PTI- feb.16 Jaipur: A website developed by an Indian internet enthusiast, was on Saturday featured on a Canadian TV station as the "website of the week". The television station CFMT-TV in Toronto, featured the website 'sandarbha.com', developed by local scribe Bhuvnesh Jain, who interestingly has no formal training in software development. The site recognised as an 'online library', provides a 'one click' solution to reach websites categorised under hundreds of subjects, Jain said. Unlike the popular 'search engines' that generates a large number of results under the same category' sandarbha.com provides direct links to important sites on science history, literature, economy, cinema, sports, religion, geography, media, politics and employment, he said. LLRXBuzz By Tara Calishain Reference Site Focuses on India Sandarbha.com offers reference information for all over the world but focuses particularly on India. There is a busy front page here, but if you've got some time to explore you'll find some good stuff. The left column provides an alphabetical list of resources related to India, starting with Actor-India and ending with Indian national. I think this list continues in the third column. The links in the list lead to the pages, or bookmarks in pages, devoted to particular topics. There is almost no annotation. If you're not looking for topical information but more general information on India, check out the second column from the left. Here you'll find the basic facts about India( again a link list) history and economy etc. But this site is not limited to information related categories include the world, the universe, several computer related categories including graphics and fonts etc. This site is busy but rich; worth a look.
